Internship overview: The internship programme is a structured professional training and work experience programme with the goal of providing high quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of a Municipal Budget and Treasury Office which is governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act and the underlying reforms. The programme has a logical training sequence that builds on the skills and competencies acquired during university training. It ends where appropriate, with a qualification in Municipal finance Management which is in line with the Municipal Minimum Competency Regulations. The programme is aimed at unemployed graduates.
Basic salary: R508 464.00 – R660 072.00 per annum (plus benefits: Pension, Medical aid scheme, Group life insurance, Housing subsidy, 13th cheque)
Requirements: The applicant must be in possession of a bachelors degree/B Tech degree in auditing or finance. A minimum of three to four years relevant experience on a supervisory level in internal auditing. Registration with the Internal Auditors South Africa or relevant accounting or audit professional body. Required to travel within the district. A valid code 8 Drivers’ license.

Frances Baard District Municipality: Appointment of Audit Committee Members. In terms of Section 166 of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Frances Baard District Municipality calls on qualified and interested persons to serve on its Audit Committee for three (3) years. Candidates can apply personally or be nominated by someone else.
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate must have management experience gained from the Performance management/Audit/Financial/Legal/Risk Management environment. Experience in or knowledge of the Public Finance and Public Sector will be considered as an additional advantage.
